The Vision
At Modelworx we’re absolutely about offering a great range of plastic kits, paints and accessories at keen prices – both online and in-store. But our vision is to go beyond this and become a “hub” for the local modelling community – offering friendly advice, help and support from staff who are themselves all experienced modellers. We want to offer a “hang-out” space for individuals, groups and clubs who can come and chat about all things modelling related, share experiences and show off their latest builds. We also have a lively social media presence where subscribers can follow all the latest developments in the shop, see what’s new and learn about exciting forthcoming events. Going forward, as we develop our online store we’ll also be looking to provide a range of discounts and exciting special offers to subscribers as well as news and reviews of upcoming kits and other items.
Our People
Joining Mark in the business are Ian Williamson and Jim Bren, both lifelong experienced modellers who are passionate about the hobby and helping others to take up modelling or develop their skills. Jim previously did test building for Airfix and Ian has done a range of commission builds. Between them they have a wealth of expertise across all areas of plastic modelling and can offer friendly advice, help and support. In this way we believe we can genuinely claim to be a business that is “run by modellers for modellers”.
In-store and on-line
We aim to offer the widest range of kits, tools and accessories and have good links with all the established wholesalers and brands and we can usually get in an item quickly even if it isn’t currently in our stock. As an online store we can offer competitive prices on current and new kits and supplies – and will be offering a pre-order service on new kits so you can make sure you don’t miss out on exciting new items.
