Description
The medium bomber B-25 had been developed for the US. Air Corps in 1938 already. It saw continuous improvements in the successive years. In the beginning, the US-Bombardment Groups used the Mitchell on anti-shipping missions, and it proved so successful and reliable that it was soon distributed to all Allied Forces, from the R.A.F to even the Soviet Air Forces. Many hundreds of B-25s passed into post war service well into the late fifties.
