Description
The world’s first supersonic passenger aircraft, with the maiden flight of the prototype taking place on the 31st December 1968, two months earlier than Concorde. After a number of modifications, serial production commenced in 1971, resulting in 9 aircraft being built up to 1977. It’s short commercial service operated between Moscow and Alma-Ata from November 1977 to June 1978.
