Description
The hunt for the Bismarck is one of the most famous and well-known epics in naval combat history, and the model depicts the ship after successfully completing her sea trails in the Baltic sea, displaying the distinctive ‘Baltic Stripes’, as an aid to air identification. These were painted out as the Bismarck departed on her ill fated breakout into the Atlantic in May 1941. The ship’s distinctive profile and powerful armament are all meticulously and accurately reproduced. A special display stand and beautifully crafted nameplate are also included for an awe-inspiring display.
The kit measures 717 mm on length, and with a beam of 103mm.
There are a number of aftermarket products available, that will then enable the modeller to super detail the ship, including photo-etch, brass barrels, wooden veneer decks, metal anchor chain and 3D parts for instance, for fire control and boats etc.
