Description
Brachiosaurus was a massive, herbivorous dinosaur that lived during the Late Jurassic period, approximately 154 to 153 million years ago and was one of the most iconic and recognizable dinosaurs due to its distinctive long neck, which made up about half of its total body length, and its relatively short tail.
This unique body structure allowed it to browse on vegetation high in trees, which set it apart from many other herbivorous dinosaurs that primarily fed on ground-level plants.
Standing on four pillar-like legs, Brachiosaurus was an enormous creature, with some individuals reaching lengths of up to 85 feet (26 meters) and towering heights of around 40 feet (12 meters).
Despite its massive size, it is believed to have been a relatively gentle giant, relying on its sheer size and height to deter predators.
This dinosaur’s fossils have been discovered in various parts of North America, Africa, and Europe, providing valuable insights into the Earth’s ancient ecosystems. The Brachiosaurus remains an enduring symbol of the majestic and awe-inspiring creatures that once roamed our planet during the age of the dinosaurs.
The kit comes complete with an adult and juvenile Brachiosaurus, plus an archaeopteryx and a human “Jussaic Park” figure,
