Trumpeter 1/72 FW 200 C-8 Condor, including two Henschel Hs 293 glider bombs.
Originally conceived as and airliner, the Condor was quickly converted as a long range maritime patrol aircraft at the outbreak of the Second World War, which became particularly effective in locating convoy movements in the North Atlantic, and thus able to direct U-boats to their targets. This prompted Winston Churchill to refer to the Condor as the Scourge of the Atlantic. However, with the advent of light escort carriers to protect the convoys, they became easy prey to carrier aircraft such as Grumman Martlets.
The C-8 version was equipped to carry He 293 radio controlled glide bombs, which became effective at attacking enemy warships.
