Description
This kit follows the well received 1/200 scale offering produced by Trumpeter, and considered by many to be the best to date version of this famous ship in 1/350 scale. The kit includes extensive photo-etch and an anchor chain. to accompany this kit, I Love Kit have produced a Detail-Up Set (code 66601) for this kit, including brass gun barrels, propellers, and masts plus a wooden deck and additional photo-etch, together with resin blast bags etc.
The model itself contains in excess of 1,200 parts (including photo-etch), and measures in length, 715.7 mm and a beam of 100.25.
The story of the Bismarck’s very short service history is well known, and demonstrated both the vulnerability of large capital ships to air attack, but also that the Germans were unable to compete with the Royal Navy, and her allies, in control of the Atlantic and the North Sea with its surface fleet.
