McDonnell Douglas F-4E Phantom II

The F-4E Phantom II is a two-seat, twin-engine fighter jet that was designed and manufactured by the American company McDonnell Douglas (now part of Boeing) in the 1950s. Originally designed as a fleet defence fighter for the US Navy it was later adopted by the US Air Force and many other countries around the world.

The F-4E was a versatile aircraft that could perform a variety of roles, including air-to-air combat, ground attack, and reconnaissance. It was powered by two General Electric J79 turbojet engines, which gave it a top speed of over Mach 2.2 (more than twice the speed of sound).

The F-4E was also equipped with advanced avionics and weapons systems, including radar-guided missiles and a Vulcan cannon, with the Phantom  II seeing extensive use during the Vietnam War and was also used by many other countries in conflicts around the world.

Today, some countries still use the F-4E in their air forces, although most have been retired from active service.
