Description
The StuG III Ausf. G was a German assault gun used during World War II, with the Alkett factory being one of the primary producers, and was an improved version of the earlier StuG III Ausf. F, designed to provide fire support for infantry units and engage enemy armour.
The StuG III Ausf. G had a crew of four and was armed with a 75mm StuK 40 L/48 gun, which was capable of penetrating most Allied tanks at ranges up to 1,500 metres.
It had a low profile and was heavily armoured, making it an effective weapon for ambushes and defensive operations.
The Alkett factory produced StuG III Ausf. Gs in 1945, during the final year of the war.
These late-war models had a simplified design and were produced using cheaper materials due to the shortages of resources in Germany at the time. However, despite their late production and material shortages, the StuG III Ausf. G Alkett Prod 1945 remained a formidable weapon in the hands of German forces.
